

Cedric Arnell Doolittle (Pookie) was born March 2nd 1970 to both Nathaniel Smith and Dorothy Ann Matthews whom both preceded him in death. Cedric (Pookie) Doolittle was the third child of five siblings. Also to have preceded him in death, Harrison Matthews (step father), Viola Hall (grandmother), two aunts Lucile Gilbert and Letha Brown.
Cedric attended ATTC VoTech Trade School for culinary arts to become a chef and graduated from from Adult Educational School. Cedric “Pookie” had a passion for cooking so he persued his dream and become a sou chef at the Union Plaza Hotel Casino for several years. Cedric “Pookie” then went on to become a bus driver for Grey Hound for ten years until he decided to further his driving career with CCSD for 23 plus years and there he gained another family until he was called home on March 23rd, 2016 at 4:55 am at Centennial Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Cedric “Pookie” Doolittle rededicated his life back to Christ and was a member of Victory Missionary Baptist Church for over 12 years. Cedric (Pookie) was well known for his sense of humor and his loving smile and his wonder smell and warm hugs. He knew how to warm the hearts of others through his cooking and his homemade cakes and pies.
Cedric Arnell Doolittle “Pookie” leaves to cherish his memories William Hall (grandfather) of Las Vegas, NV, four aunts Bobbie Ann Fletcher of Hypoluxo Florida, Rose Young of California, Maria Waller and Emmer Hall both of Las Vegas, NV. One step son Oshea Henry, three sisters and one brother whom he loved and cherish so much Nikki Smith-Acosta (Armando Acosta) Sharon Newell (Anthony Newell) Paulette Doolittle and Oliver Doolittle (Brandy Burnett-Doolittle) all of Las Vegas, Nevada. Three nieces Jasmine Acosta, Mecca Newell and Khadijha Newell and three nephews Romeo Acosta, Shareef Newell, and Shakur Newell, and two great nieces Denise “Bella” Moore and Jerlisha Ladamer and three god children Danielle Nelson, Briana McGhee, and Eric Latchinson all of Las Vegas, Nevada and a host of other nieces, nephews, step brothers and sisters family and friends.
