Charles Miceli, 84, of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away on December 9, 2018 in Las Vegas. He was born in Acquaviva, Sicily to his parents, Paola Castiglione Miceli and Giuseppe Antonio Miceli. Charlie came to the United States at the age of 15 with no formal education, speaking only Italian, but with a lot of ambition seeking the American dream. He met and married Eileen Abiuso in 1956 and they had two beautiful children while residing in Brooklyn, New York. He established a business called Comfort-Built Furniture which he operated until 1989 then relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada and started over again continuing the furniture business as Miceli Furniture until 2004. He was intrigued by the growth of the city of Las Vegas and had a desire to have a hand in the future real estate development. He fulfilled that personal desire and realized his dream. Charlie was a devoted husband for 62 years, a proud father for 60 years, and a loving and attentive grandfather for 21 years. Charlie was also a successful business owner for 52 years. Charles was preceded in death by his son, Joseph Anthony Miceli. He is survived by his wife, Ida Eileen Miceli; his daughter, Paola Miceli; his grandchildren, Calogero Charles Miceli, Angelica Eileen Miceli-Kaya and Joseph Anthony Miceli, Jr; his nephew Charles Miceli; his daughter-in-law, Kelly Miceli and Robert Lowry and his cousins, Nicholas and Diane Donato, Sr. and Chuck Castiglione.Visitation will be held on Friday, December 21, 2018 from 3-7pm at Palm Northwest Mortuary, 6701 N Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89131, a Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 11:00am at Christ The King Catholic Community, 4925 S Torrey Pines Dr, Las Vegas, NV 89118 with entombment to follow at Palm Northwest Cemetery, 6701 N Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89131.
