

Charles was born on September 14, 1952 at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D. C. Raised in Washington D. C. He was the son of Albert and Mary White. Charles was raised with one sibling. He had one brother Daniel. Charles was usually involved in all sorts of activities with his sibling. He and his sibling experienced rivalries typical of a growing family, but they shared many life experiences over the years. As a young boy, Charles had a number of interests. Like most children, he enjoyed playing and making up games. He was curious about the world around him and was often eager to explore it. Charles was an active child who took part in Track, Football and Basketball. However, to Charles, the most fun to be had was simply playing and spending time with his friends. A typical teenager, Charles had a fairly happy high school experience, making that critical transition from adolescence to adulthood. He graduated from North Western High School in 1970. He enjoyed some classes more than others, having favorite subjects and teachers. His favorite class in high school was History. He accomplished 1/4 mile track Star. Charles worked hard to be a good father to his children and he did his best to fulfill their needs. Charles was blessed with four children, four daughters, Camille, Alexis, Crystal and Melissa. Charles was a Navy Veteran. He was stationed in Guam, Virginia, Texas, Iraq and San Diego. Charles saw action for the Gulf War Iraq "Desert Storm". His fellow soldiers viewed him as a brother in arms and knew that he was as much a part of their family as their loved ones back home. Charles found pleasure in sports. In high school, Charles ran Track. Recreational sports included Basketball. Charles was also something of a sports fan and enjoyed following his favorite events whenever he had the chance to do so. Tops on his list were Football and Basketball. Charles passed away on August 1, 2012 at Sunrise Hospital, in Las Vegas, Nevada. He is survived by his wife, Elsa; daughters, Camille, Alexis, Crystal and Melissa; his brother, Danny and sister-in-law, Stacey. Services were held at Palm Mortuary. Charles was laid to rest in Palm Mortuary. Arrangements under the direction of Palm Downtown Mortuary, Las Vegas, NV.
