Fifa grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada, where his warmth, wit, and determination were evident from a young age. He excelled in tennis and academics, always pushing himself to go further—not for recognition, but because he believed in giving his best to everything he did. After earning his Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from the University of Nevada, Reno, he commissioned as an officer in the United States Army.
Fifa served as a Military Intelligence officer with the Virginia National Guard and later continued his mission-driven work as a defense contractor in Washington, D.C. Whether he was in uniform or behind the scenes, Fifa dedicated his life to protecting and uplifting others. Even while quietly battling cancer, he never faltered in his service or his spirit. Two days before undergoing major surgery to remove his tumor, he completed a 50K in the Marine Corps Marathon—an extraordinary act that captured the essence of his strength and perseverance.
In every chapter of his life, Fifa brought people together. He loved deeply and gave unconditionally—to his family, his friends, and his coworkers, who quickly became like family. His ability to care for others was quiet but unwavering. He listened without judgment, encouraged without needing credit, and supported everyone around him in both the loud and silent moments of life.
Fifa had a quick wit and a gift for joy. He filled rooms with laughter, often throwing in a perfect one-liner or an anime reference that would catch everyone off guard in the best way. His humor brought comfort. His presence made people feel safe. And his kindness made the world feel softer.
He loved food from every culture and took joy in cooking—especially dishes inspired by his mother, who was his greatest inspiration. Whether it was hosting a home-cooked dinner, planning a legendary ramen night, or finding the best little-known spot in D.C., Fifa made meals more than meals—they were moments of connection and love. He often said, "Why save a thousand if you can save a million?" and that same spirit showed in the way he lived, always giving more, always thinking bigger.
He cherished the simple joys—biking through the city, admiring the cherry blossoms, watching Christopher Nolan films, discovering new coffee shops and crystal stores. He ran through the monuments at sunrise with friends, always grounded in gratitude for the life he had, while striving to make the world around him a little better.
Fifa was kind. He was funny. He was brilliant. He carried unseen burdens with grace and gave endlessly to those around him. His impact is woven into the lives of everyone who had the privilege to know him.
He is survived by his loving mother, Ann Tolbert; his brother, Raputpong Sopat; and his stepfather, Jason Tolbert.
Gone far too soon, Fifa’s legacy lives on in every person he lifted up, every laugh he sparked, every life he touched—and in the deep, unconditional love he gave so freely. He will be missed more than words can express.
