Chris was, and always will be: beloved husband and father to his wife Krista, their son Declan, and daughter Moira; loved first born son of Leah and Howard and son-in-law to Pete and Irene; : outstanding older brother to Nathan and brother-in-law to Kari, Erik and Paul; adored uncle of Mikah, Parker, Olivia, and Siersha.
Chris was born in Sheridan, WY. Growing up in New Mexico, he and his brother learned from their father their passion for firearms, history and their duty to uphold the values of our country and their faith in God. He graduated High School in Truth or Consequences NM, and moved to Las Vegas, NV in 2004. In 2010 Chris met the love of his life Krista, proposed at the bench on Lone Mountain and they married October 16, 2011. They were beyond blessed to create two beautiful children who were the light of Chris' life.
At the time of his death Chris was proud to be Director of Outside Plant Fiber Operations at Switch. He was instrumental and respected throughout the country in his field. He made many amazing friends in his 20+ year career in the fiber optic industry.
Chris was a passionate historian, defender of the constitution, mixologist, chef, grill master, gun safety advocate, home and car repair genius, hunting and fishing enthusiast, and Son of God. He excelled at teaching about the past and using his knowledge and skills to affect the future. He was a true Westerner and was most at peace when he could see mountains especially if he had a gun in his hand.
Please join us to honor the incredible life of Christopher Conyers. Though our hearts may be heavy, let us come together to remember his faithful spirit, cherish the memories we shared and find some peace in the love and support of one another. We will have hors d’oeuvres and drinks along with a cash bar (wouldn’t be a party for Chris without whiskey!) Dress casually as Chris would have preferred. Please feel free to forward to those whom I may not have had direct contact with. It will be held Friday, January 24, 2025 from 4 to 8pm at the Grand Garden Room at Lake Memorials (in Desert Shores) 2620 Regatta Dr. Las Vegas, NV 89128.
