Clara E. Ewers

On March 12th 1956 a beautiful baby girl was born to Klara and Anthony Micallef, a day on the island of Malta that would change the lives of many. Clara was the youngest of nine children having three older sisters and five older brothers. Clara spent her young life living in the city of Rabat where she attended school until the age of 14 when she started working along side of her siblings in the local factory to help support the family. A few years later she met and married Ronald Forrest, moved to England and in 1975 they had their first baby girl Clair, followed by their second daughter Danielle in 1979. Life later resulted in a divorce and in 1985 she had her third baby girl Charlotte with Charles Ewers and she relocated to the United States. The family lived in Taft, CA for several years where Clara spent countless hours escorting the group of girls to school activities. She even took a few classes at the local college. Clara loved to travel and after all 3 girls graduated from school she sold her house in Las Vegas and moved back to her home island of Malta. For almost a year and a half she enjoyed spending time on the beaches with her daughter Charlotte, her sister Polly, her niece Charlene and many other friends. Eventually Clara missed the rest of the family still living in the states and decided to relocate to St. Louis near her daughter Clair. Clara received the shocking news that she had the incurable disease of small cell lung cancer in March of 2013. Although no cure was available Clara was a fighter, she was determined to get all that she could out of the rest of the days she had. On June 3rd, 2013 Clara lost the battle with Cancer and passed peacefully at Nathan Edelson Hospice. She is being to laid to rest at Palm Mortuary in Las Vegas. She is survived by her husband of 24 years Charles Emmett Ewers. Her Ex-Husband Ronald Forrest. Her three children Clair Forrest Jordan married to Christian Eric Jordan (Riley, Ciara and Ella) Danielle Forrest James married to Beau James (Donovan, Meagan and Mackenzie) and Charlotte Ewers Graves married to Michael Graves (Kristopher and Brandi).
