Beloved Son, Friend, Scholar, and Gentle Soul
1982 – 2025
Claude Michael “Mike” Brawner passed away peacefully May 25, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, intelligence, and quiet strength that will continue to live in the hearts of all who knew him.
Mike was a best friend to many, the kind of person you could turn to in times of joy or hardship. He was patient, supportive, and deeply compassionate—a grounding presence with a levelheaded nature that brought calm to every storm. Those lucky enough to know Mike will remember his quiet brilliance, his unwavering loyalty, and the warmth of his caring heart.
A passionate lover of science and the universe, Mike earned his Associate of Science degree from the College of Southern Nevada. He went on to attend the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where he pursued a dual major in Mathematics and Physics—subjects that reflected his natural curiosity and awe for the workings of the cosmos.
Mike's intellectual interests spanned a wide range: astrophysics, geology, theoretical physics, and mathematics were among his favorite topics. Yet he balanced his scholarly pursuits with a deep love of technology and video games, often blending his technical acumen with his creativity in ways that delighted those around him.
Perhaps the most cherished companion in Mike’s life was Neutron, his beloved corgi. Their bond was a testament to Mike’s gentle soul and compassionate spirit.
Mike’s intelligence was only matched by his humility. He never sought the spotlight but instead chose to uplift others. He listened more than he spoke, offered help without hesitation, and loved deeply without condition.
Though his time with us was far too short, the impact he made was profound. He will be missed every single day by friends, family, and all whose lives he touched with his unwavering kindness and boundless mind.
