Craig was, in every sense, Marchello to the fullest extent—a workaholic with a legendary reputation, deeply charismatic, and generous to a fault. He was the kind of man who always showed up for his family and friends, no matter what. If you needed him, Craig was there—no questions asked.
Craig spent 36 proud years as a member of Teamsters Union Local 631, working for Las Vegas Paving transporting heavy equipment. His strong work ethic and reliability were unmatched. Never one to truly slow down, even after retirement, Craig continued working as a Pilot Car owner and operator for an additional 22 years—because Craig simply loved to work.
Outside of work, Craig knew how to live. He was a devoted sports bettor, especially when it came to college football and the NFL. He was incredibly social and found great joy in going out to eat—never just a meal, always an experience. Craig was often the one picking up the bill and always began dinner with his signature toast: “To us.” A lover of good wine and great food, Mezzo Bistro & Wine held a special place in his heart, though he appreciated any table shared with good company.
Craig was preceded in death by his parents, Marty and Ermina Marchello; his brother, Brent Marchello; and his son, Matthew Marchello.
He is survived by his sons, Brian Marchello and Curtis Marchello; his grandchildren, Matthew, Mikayla, Jordan, Jared, and Bryce Marchello; and his siblings, Janice Simpson, Randy Marchello, and Layne Marchello.
