Dolores Enrique Gutierrez, 65 years old, was called upon to join his loved ones on April 26, 2017. He was the husband of Benny Princess Gutierrez. They shared 13 years of marriage (2004) together in Las Vegas after having met in Chicago 1996. Dolores, known by many as Enrique, was born in Progreso, Texas on April 26, 1952 to Emilio and Sara Gutierrez. He was raised in Reynosa Tamaulipas, Mexico. He came back to the states when he was a teenager, and met his first wife in Chicago where he made his home. In his early years, he was drawn to Martial Arts and became a Master Instructor. He was a positive role model, and an active member of the Little Village neighborhood of Chicago where he taught Karate and earned respect from all who came across him. Enrique’s second passion was music, specifically his idol, and compadre, Cornelio Reyna. He spent his last years in Las Vegas performing and imitating his idol, which he did very well. He lived his life the best he knew how too and his only regret was not living close to his children. Dolores Enrique Gutierrez is survived by his wife Benny P. Gutierrez (Sharon & Chente), his children: Sara(Isaac), Gabriel(Norma), Lorena(Ramon), Marisol(Jose), Claudia(Luis), Emilio(Katie), Linda, and Richard(Vanessa), his grandchildren: Angel, Jesus, Javi, Eric, Jade, Joel, Luis Jr., Aaron, Julian, Miloh, Gracie, Marcos, Emilio, Michaelangelo, Miabella, Richard, Mariah, Mason, and Nathan, his great-grandchildren: Jose, and Mila, his uncle: Emilio (Perico) Gutierrez, and his brother: Dolores Francisco Gutierrez. He is preceded by his parents, Emilio and Sara Gutierrez as well as his paternal grandmother, Praxedis Gutierrez whom raised him and loved him very much. He will be missed dearly as there were many plans left undone, many words left unspoken, but free he is of suffering and those who love him, will carry his memory in their hearts. May the gates of heaven open and welcome you home. Rest peacefully.
