

Daryl James DeNomme Sr., 64, of Las Vegas, Nevada & formerly of Ipswich, S. D., passed away suddenly on June 25th, 2015 at his home. A funeral service is under the direction of Palm Mortuary Las Vegas, Nevada. Daryl was born on June 8th, 1951 in Aberdeen, S.D. to Albert & Alpha DeNomme. At age 12, Daryl became the foster child of Glenn & Lucille Stafford. Daryl grew up on their farm south of Ipswich, S.D. Daryl graduated from Ipswich High School in 1969 & married his high school sweetheart Helen Anne Schumacher on August 1, 1970 in Ipswich, S.D. Daryl attended Northern State College in Aberdeen, S.D. Daryl enlisted in the Air Force in February 1974 & was honorably discharged in 1981. While in the Air Force, full time, Daryl also earned his nursing degree from New Mexico State. Daryl was the class President of his nursing program while he earned this degree. In 1982, Daryl earned his degree in anesthesia from Mount Marty College in Yankton, S.D. Daryl accepted his first job as a CRNA at Fremont Memorial Hospital in Fremont, Nebraska. In 1990, Captain Daryl DeNomme was mobilized to serve as a nurse anesthetist in the 159 Mash Unit, 341 Med. Group in Saudia Arabia Operation Desert Shield/Storm. Southwest Medical in Las Vegas, Nevada has been his career success as a nurse anesthetist since 1995. Daryl is survived by wife Helen; daughter Aimee (Vincent) Martinez of Omaha, NE.; 2 sons D.J. Daryl DeNomme Jr. of Fremont, NE. & Philip (Kimberly) DeNomme of Gretna, NE. Grandchildren are Dylan DeNomme Martinez of Fremont, NE., Hannah & Chloe DeNomme of Gretna, NE. Sister Joan (Richard) Wild of Pentwater, MI., Brothers Dennis (Linda) DeNomme of Tucson, AZ. & Tim (Mary) DeNomme of Glendale, AZ.; Brother in law: Tom (Jacque) Schumacher of Mitchell, S.D.; 5 sister-n-laws Sr. Janet Schumacher of Sioux City, IA; Marge (Gene) Jillson of Grand Terrance, CA; Madeline (Ron) Maridan of Wetonka, S.D.; Marie (Merlyn) Ritter of Clark, S.D.; Phyllis (Gary) Roberts of Sioux Falls, S.D. Daryl was preceded in death by his parents & sister-n-law Linda Meek of Redding, CA. Daryl is co-author of his family genealogy book, "DeNomme 400 years of Family", printed in 2005.
