

David (Dave) Gerard Gibbons, 64 died Tuesday March 15, 2022, at his home in North Las Vegas surrounded by family following a prolonged illness. He was born on August 29, 1957, in Los Angles California to Jim and Pat (Burke) Gibbons.
He married Teresa (Terrie) Leonard on February 28, 1987, in Roswell New Mexico. David achieved a Bachelor of Divinity degree and enjoyed researching the origins of religions. David grew up in the Catholic faith where he served as an alter boy and attended Catholic school. He later joined the Baptist faith which he held on to until his passing.
David worked as a DJ at various radio stations in California and New Mexico. He served as manager of photo processing establishments in New Mexico and Texas. He retired early from the workforce to spend more time with his wife and sons.
David grew up in Alhambra CA. He and Teresa moved 23 times in multiple West, Northwest, and Midwest states during their marriage, making many life-time friends along the way.
David enjoyed many hobbies and pastimes. He loved watching the Dodgers play baseball. He loved listening to his favorite artist Elvis, however he enjoyed all genres of music from Pop to Country to Rock-n-Roll. He loved living in the Las Vegas area and truly appreciated the variety of activities available.
David is survived by his wife Teresa; sons Christopher (wife Ashley) of Vancouver Washington and Michael of North Las Vegas; grandsons Caleb Gibbons and Mason Gibbons both of Vancouver Washington; many nephews, nieces, and in-laws; and pets Bandit and Stripes.
David is preceded in death by his parents Hattie (Pat) Burke Gibbons and James (Jim) Gibbons; granddaughter, Clara Gibbons; sister, Judith (Judy) (Gibbons) Chavez; brother-in-law, Arthur (Art) Chavez; and pets, Pixie & Trixie.
A visitation for David will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2022, from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Palm Downtown Mortuary, 1325 North Main St, Las Vegas, NV 89101, followed by a funeral service from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Inurement is in the process. The family will host a reception at David & Teresa’s home following the service.
