David McNeil Jr. was born on Aprtil 15, 1964 in Detroit, Michigan to David Muray McNeil Sr. and Ella Hampton McNeil. David accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at The Church of Our Father Missionary Baptist Church. It was there that his spiritual journey began. David had a gift for singing and working with the young people on what it meant to be a Christian. When he was five years old, at his church nursery, he directed his nursery friends in singing happy birthday to him, he always loved to sing. David also taught a young people's Sunday school class and would keep up with them if they were not in class. David had the gift of helping and was put on this earth to be a keeper. If you needed something to eat, he would feed you because he loved to cook. If you needed housing, he always had room. That was David such a gentle spirit. David graduated from Cooley high school class of 1981 and attended Wayne State University. David was affiliated with several churches in the metropolitan Detroit area which included Hartford Memorial Baptist and Greater Grace Temple. David relocated to Los Angeles California in 1994 where he joined Greater Bethany Community Church Pastored by Bishop Noel Jones. David was an active participant of The Voices of Unity, directed by Mr. Alonzo Atkins as one of the top lead singers singing the song "Sovereign" with his tenor/baritone voice. David was employed at Verizon Wireless as a business consultant until his health forced him to take an early retirement. In 2015, David relocated to North Las Vegas, Nevada to be close to his family. It was on April 10, 2022, that David joined The Tabernacle of Praise COG IC, in Las Vegas Nevada under the leadership of Pastor Michael Jackson.
