David Dareyl Tate

David Dareyl Tate was born on June 16th, 1963, in San Rafeal CA, to David and Bertha Tate. His parents decided to move the family to Carson, CA when he was 10 years old. He attended Bonita Elementary School, Carnegie Middle School and Carson High School. Following High school. David Joined the Navy for 6 years before working in the public sector. During his career he met Stephanie, and they wed on April 9th, 1988. They had three children, Chandra, Darnell and Tiffany. They decided to move the family to Las Vegas, NV where he worked for Clark County from 2004 to 2022 and retired, but he couldn’t keep still, so he went on to work for the Cure 4 the Kids Foundation, where he worked from April 2023 to October 2023, until he retired again.

David made friends everywhere he went and positively impacted many lives. He was a fearless protector, selfless provider and naturally funny. He cherished his time with family, friends. He loved music, comedy and sports. In 2011 he proudly became and Grandpa but, jokingly insisted he was too young for the title.

On January 20th, 2025, he was called home to be with the lord. His passing has left a Void that can never be filled.

He is preceded in death by his Father, David Tate; Grandma Bullock; Mother, Bertha Lee Tate; and Brother, Robert Ward.

David is remembered by his loving Wife Stephanie Celeste Tate; Children Chandra Louis; Tiffany Tate; Darnell Tate; Granddaughter Tatianna Hunter. Siblings: Shirley Lyles (husband Fred) Mitchell Ward (wife Lynn), Belinda Patton (husband Solomon), Dianna Tate, Denise Miller (husband Garry), Jennifer Rhodes (husband Curtis), Donna Jenkins (husband Charles), Kenneth Tate Sr. He also leaves behind 10 Nephews;10 nieces; Great Nephews 8; great Nieces 15.

A memorial service for David will be held Thursday, February 6, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Palm Mortuary - Northwest, 6701 North Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89131, followed by a committal service at 11:00 AM. Following services, a repast will be held at Aliante Station Hotel & Casino, beginning at 12:30pm and ending at 4:00pm.
