

Dawn Marie Koscal, 75, a delegate of the Democratic Party in Las Vegas, Nevada and a recent student of UNLV, passed away on Friday, January 13, 2017. She was born March 22, 1941, to Helen and Walter Amendt in Chicago, Illinois. Papa John Bystrom, Dawn's step-father, was also a very important part of her life. Dawn is preceded in death by her brothers Wally Jr. and Chuck Amendt. Dawn was a loving wife, mother, grammy and great grammy. She is survived by her best friend and husband of 37 years Michael; daughters, Georgianna (Rob) and Heather (Adrian) sons, Sean and Lliam; grandchildren, Monica, Mariah, Meghan, Connor, Isabella; great grandchildren, Josh and Anthony; Dawn is also survived by her sister-in-law Camille and her nephew Edward and niece Ashley. Dawn was proud to call the 75 children of Kibera, Kenya her grandchildren. A celebration of Dawn’s life will be held at Palm Morturary - South Jones, at 1600 S. Jones Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89146 on Wednesday, January 18, at 11:00. Refreshments will be served following the service.
