

Dennis lived his life with the aptitude and talent to Never Stop Learning.
He was passionately involved in the UNLV (University of Nevada, Las Vegas) Lifelong Learning program. He began classes and teaching as a coordinator in 1998. When he began, it was known as the Excel program, which then became OLLI @ UNLV as part of Osher Lifelong Learning.
Dennis took classes ranging from history, sports, world religions, music & movies, geography, art history, space, politics, world economy, and astronomy. His interest in these subjects would push him to delve deep into research of each subject late into the night.
As an instructor Dennis taught classes such as, “What in the World” (current events dissection and review), “Understanding the Universe”, “The Earth and The Solar System.
Dennis was a very involved member and was awarded Lifetime Member Award in 2012 in recognition of his OLLI contributions.
He was currently enrolled in courses to start in September:

The Roaring Twenties ~ Sports Biz~ Our Nation State by State ~ The Jewish American Experience Culture and Identity
He is survived by his beloved wife, Lavonne; three children—Denise, Steven, and Lisa; and eleven cherished grandchildren: Evan, Dylan, Michael, Lauran, Steven, Grace, Olivia, Reese, Matthew, Brooke, and Jake. He also leaves behind one great-grandchild, Winnie, and another great-grandchild expected soon, whose arrival will continue his legacy of love.
A visitation for Dennis will be held Monday, September 1, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Palm Mortuary - Cheyenne, 7400 West Cheyenne Avenue, Las Vegas, NV 89129. A funeral service will occur Monday, September 1, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 7400 West Cheyenne Avenue, Las Vegas, NV 89129. A committal service will occur Monday, September 1, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Palm Northwest Cemetery, 6701 North Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89131.
