Dewey Jones

M. Dewey Jones 74, resident of Las Vegas, NV, passed away September 28, 2012. He was born in Kinsman AZ. on July 20, 1938 and relocated to Las Vegas, NV. in 1940 with deceased father Eldon Jones and mother Ida Jones. He attended Las Vegas High class of 1956, followed by his service in the United States Navy and Navy Reserves. At the time of his death Dewey was a retired licensed Residential Designer and retired licensed General Contractor.

Dewey loved Las Vegas. During his early years, he knew many of the prominent and legendary figures of this city's history. The majority of his career was spent designing and building residential and commercial projects throughout the state of Nevada. His proudest career achievement was his contributions to the creation and approval of the legislation enacting the Nevada Residential Designer's License and serving on the Nevada State Board of Architecture.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years Irma; children Jason.and Adrian (spouse Regina); mother Ida , brother David(spouse Beverly), grandchildren Chloe, Aida, Atticus, niece Lori (son Jadin), and nephew Ryan .

A simple service celebrating Dewey will be held on Monday October 8th, 2012 at 3pm at The Crossings Christian Church, 7950 W. Windmill Ln., Las Vegas, NV. 89113. Placement will be Thursday, October 11th, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Buchanan Blvd., Boulder City, NV. 89005. All friends and family are welcome.
