Diane Marie Cocks, 64 passed away Saturday April 2, 2011 in her home. She was born November 6, 1946 in Newburgh, NY to her parents William and Marie Stratton. Diane was the oldest of 7 siblings whom she helped raised and loved very much. Diane was blessed with 2 wonderful daughters Susan and Bonnie. In 1979 she followed her sisters; Ellen, Jean and Billie to Las Vegas, NV leaving her brothers behind; Brian and Roger. Once she came to Las Vegas she worked for Desert Regional Center which was a wonderful job, where had many friends and cherished all the "Kids" she cared for. Diane was so proud to be the Nana to 8 magnificent grandchildren; Steven, Shannon, Ryan, Ricky, Renee, Cody, Emily, and Rylee and 1 great grandbaby Sophia. Diane loved to travel and will be remembered for her stories, her fancy bags, kindness, and for her strong will. A visitation will be held on Monday April 11, 2011 from Noon to 2 PM at Palm Mortuary 1600 S. Jones. Blvd with a funeral service to start at 2 PM. Burial will follow at Palm Valley View Cemetery.
