

Dolores Lopez, 87, of Las Vegas, passed away on October 21, 2014. She was born on August 4, 1927 to Herlindo and Porfiria Sanchez (Rodriguez) in Arden, Nevada. She attended Las Vegas Grammar School and Las Vegas High School. She married John Marshall Lopez in 1946 and had four children. She was a member of “The Mexican Golden Girls” . She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and homemaker. She enjoyed reading cookbooks, watching Wheel of Fortune, drinking coffee and eating Lorna Doone’s cookies, and eating at her favorite restaurant, The Hush Puppy. She loved to dress up and go out to eat and go shopping. She was happiest when she was surrounded by her family.
She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, her 3 sisters , and 3 brothers.
She is survived by her daughters Frances Ghormley (Roger), Patty Todd (Harry), Loretta Minagil (Steve), her son, John Lopez (Marlena), her 3 brothers and one sister, seven grandchildren; Martin, Dana, Lisa, Michael, Andrea, Angela, and Jena, ten great-grandchildren; Alyssa, Noah, Maddie, Sophie, Lillie, Ashley, Mikey, Tanner, Jace, and Nyah, and one great-great-granddaughter, Mila, nephews, nieces, cousins, and many good friends. She will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be Sunday October 26, 2014 from 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. with a rosary to follow at Palm Mortuary-South Jones at 1600 S. Jones Blvd Las Vegas, NV and there will be a funeral service on Monday October 27, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Joseph Husband of Mary Catholic Church 7260 W Sahara Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89117
