Earthel Lener Fields

Earthel Lener Fields was born May 12, 1937 in Beggs, Oklahoma to Frank & Bessie Daniels. Earthel was the fifth out of ten children. When Earthel was 16, she attended a church revival hosted by her eldest sister, Mable Lee. This was when Earthel accepted the Lord as her personal savior and never looked back.

Earthel graduated from Wheatley High School in 1957 and then married her High School sweetheart, Abner Fields Jr. and together they welcomed five children.

After moving to Long Beach, California in 1957, Earthel joined the Greater Harvest Church of God in Christ. Earthel loved music. She taught herself how to play the piano and she sang in the adult choir at Greater Harvest Church. Earthel served as Vice President on the usher board and taught Sunday school. Earthel loved working with children as she was involved with the youth summer programs, YPWW and vacation bible school. She also worked as a Teacher’s assistant for the Long Beach Unified School District.

Earthel loved to decorate homes and she had a passion for antique dolls, pianos and organs.

Earthel became a member of the Rock of Deliverance for Greater Harvest Church in 1986 after meeting Prophet (Chief Apostle) Dodd and remained a member until she passed away.

On December 19, 2023, God called roll call and Earthel answered.

Earthel is preceded in death by her husband, Abner Fields Jr.; eldest Son, Ardie Fields; her parents, two sisters and two brothers.

Earthel’s memory will be cherished by her children for years to come. She is survived by her daughters, Belinda Williams of Hacienda Heights, CA., Ronda Myers and LaShanta (Jerry) Harvey of Las Vegas, NV; son, Byron (Linda) Fields of Apple Valley, CA.; bonus son, Denorval Bobo of Las Vegas, NV; sisters, Kupie Huges of Seattle WA, Thelma Pearson of Tulsa, OK and Evelyn Pearson of Las Vegas, NV; Grandchildren, Tyree Stocker, Larry Myers, Steven Hurt, Dantel Spragin, Serenity Kaiser, Sierra Meyers and Kenny, Rennie, Kashon, Katron, Keauyon and Travieon Fields as well as nine great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Earthel will be held Saturday, January 27, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Palm South Jones Mortuary, 1600 South Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89146. A funeral service will occur Saturday, January 27, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, 1600 South Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89146. A committal service will occur Saturday, January 27, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Palm Northwest Cemetery, 6701 North Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89131.
