

Edgardo Valdez Limayo, age 72, of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away on Sunday, December 12, 2021 at MD Anderson Center in Houston, TX. Edgardo was born April 1, 1949 in Santa Ignacia, Tarlac, Philippines; the son of Francisco Limayo and Lourdes (Valdez) Limayo.
He was the high school valedictorian in 1965 and went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting at the University of the East, Manila. He immigrated to the United States in 1972 and worked as a Systems Analyst for Transamerica Insurance and Investments for 35 years. He was the first Filipino to earn International Master in correspondence chess. He was also a professional poker player and a wine connoisseur. An avid traveler, he had visited 30 countries in 4 continents over the last 10 years. He chaired the Santa Ignacians Worlwide (SIW), a social media platform with 13.7K followers
He was married for 28 years to his wife Dr. Delva Deauna-Limayo. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his older brother Adolfo; and two sisters Reulita and Perla. He is survived by his children Lenalour and Edgar; granddaughters Brianna and Hannah; and 4 siblings: Leticia, Romeo, Joselito and Efren.
Services will be held for Edgardo on Sunday, January 16, 2022 at Palm Northwest Mortuary, 6701 North Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89131: visitation from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM; funeral service from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM; committal service from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM and a reception from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM. The funeral service will be streamed live.
