He was born in Waukegan, Illinois on October 31, 1934 and was a 16 year resident of Nevada. Edward served in the Navy during the Korean and Vietnam War. He retired as a Chief Photographer in the U.S. Navy after 26 years of service.
After retirement, he worked at Holy Cross Cemetery in San Diego, Ca for several years. Then, he worked at Port Hueneme, California in the Civil Engineering Lab , then, went to work for the Federal Government at Naval Education and Training for 13 years before really retiring.
When moving to Las Vegas, he worked at Silverstone Golf Course and Badlands Golf Course where he played much golf, in which he loved.
He was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Nora Carr. Edward is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Barbara, daughter Nancy (Brian) Dingman and son, Tom (Tricia) Carr, 2 grandsons Mitchell and Alexander.
Visitation will be Friday, July 29, 2011, from 9-11 am with Funeral Services to follow at 11am at Palm Mortuary located at 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Las Vegas, NV 89129. Private Interment will be held at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
