My deepest condolences to Ed's family.  I knew Ed when we were teenagers.  He was going to Campbell High and I went to Cupertino High.  We dated for a while until he went into the service.   Ed and I had fun going to the Winchester drive-in theatre, 'cruising' in downtown San Jose and stopping by several of the drive-ins for a lemon Ricky or cherry Cokes.  We went bowling at Futurama in Cupertino, roller skating at the rink on the Alameda, and went to some of our schools' activities.   He was funny, considerate, respectful to me and my family, and we laughed a lot together.

I know he will be missed by his family and friends.   May you find comfort from each other and share your fondest memories.

When I say Uncle Eddie was like a 2nd dad to me, I really mean it. Our families were close and finding out about your passing was difficult for us. I remember all the sleepovers I had at their house and Uncle Eddie cooking us breakfast while we played video games in the morning or taking us out to eat or get McDonald’s. Never felt out of place with him. I wish I got to see you one last time but I’m glad to know you got to meet Alaina and Stephy told you about my law school acceptance. She said you were proud of me. Don’t you worry, I got Stephy and we got the family.

I first met Ed back in 2021 when I was assigned to be his CNA. He welcomed me into his home with open arms. Ed was one of the most caring people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting.  From my time knowing him, I quickly understood why he is loved by many. Ed was a great Father, Husband, and friend. I will forever miss “talking story” with him, as he would say.

Uncle Eddie, you have truly been a great family friend to the Mooney family and we will miss you greatly. Im glad I got to see you in the last few years when I visited Vegas and I wish I could be there for your memorial. Praying for positive energy, light, and more love to your family during their time of grief. Until we meet again! Aloha

The first time I met Uncle Eddie, I was only 12 years old.  I lived just down the street in Ewa Beach. I became really close with his daughter, Stephanie, and he immediately made me feel like part of the family. Uncle Eddie was an amazing father, and I always enjoyed his company. He cared for every single soul he met, including our fur babies. He would always have something inspirational or something quirky to say. The last time I saw him was in 2017 when I visited them in Vegas. I won’t forget the smile he had and almost brought tears to my eyes. Uncle Eddie has left an indelible impression even after all these years; he is someone truly unforgettable. 

My heart goes out to all the Morris Family. I am Always here for you.

Ed will forever remain in our hearts and memories. I'll always remember the great times we had working together at OCCC at the Laumaka Work Furlough Center. Ed was such a great partner and had such a great sense (and often times playfully sarcastic sense of humor.... Lol). You will be greatly missed brother, rest in love Ed 🙏

As a man who served time at OCCC while Edward was a Correctional Officer, I truly have to say that he was respectful, treated everyone like human beings, enforced rules but exhibited any abuse or misuse of power. Edward always treated me like family after being released as our wives and children grew together as friends. Edward, I miss you dearly my friend and brother. ❤️🙏🏾🙌🏼
