Emma was born on August 19th, 1943 on Turkey Knob, at MacDonald, West Virginia. Her father was William Bolt and her mother Mary Lee Acord. A daughter to a long line of coal miners. She loved growing up there, running and roaming the hills of West Virginia and was proud to be a coal miner's daughter. She later moved to Oxford, Michigan where she was a resident for many years and worked for 30 years for GM Truck and Coach until she retired and moved to Prescott. She was caregiver to her beloved mother, Mary, for many years after that.
Her greatest love was her family and she was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. Emma had a great sense of humor and was fun to be around. She was gentle and sensitive and was always putting others before herself. She never found fault in anyone she loved. Because she made such a valiant fight against cancer, bouncing back so many times, the family called her their "energizer bunny".
