Eric Bernard Wells was born on June 4, 1977 in Long Beach, California, to Cheryl Yvonne Cornell and Ronnie Mack Wells. He was raised in Ontario, California with his three siblings: Bernard, Cherise, and Craig. Eric attended Grace Yokley Jr. High and Ontario High School. Growing up they spent many winters playing in the snow, riding sleds, and throwing snowballs near Mountain High and Big Bear Mountain. During his teen years, Eric enjoyed playing a variety of sports like track, soccer, he wanted to play Pop Warner football, and he loved to dance.
In early 1995, Eric moved to Moreno Valley, California, and was apart of a dance clique named “Penn State”, because it was his favorite college football team. While in the group, Eric’s nickname was “Sky Blue”, he explained it as, “sometimes you never know what you’re gonna get when you see the sky, sometimes it’s cloudy, sometimes it’s clear”. Shortly after, he met Kiasha Thompson, on April 21, 1995, at the local teens club. Their dance cliques often battled at the club. Eric and Kiasha bonded over many things, as well as, their similar childhoods and love for family. This union produced his first two daughters: Eternity Marleena Sade Wells on January 8, 1998 and Essence Lelani Aaliyah Wells on April 11, 2001.
In 2002, Eric moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, and met Misty Kennedy. They met at The Hop Nightclub, where Misty worked, and he did some promotions for the club. The Hop was a big part of how Eric got started in Vegas. During and after their relationship, he was a father figure to Tatyana Kennedy. On August 24, 2003, his third daughter, Amarea Zhane Kennedy, was born.
In 2006, Eric met Christine Menchel, his girlfriend for the last thirteen years. He later created Spoiled Rotten Lifestyles Clothing Company. They bought and built a beautiful house together. Eric and Christine enjoyed going to Benihanas, the lake, riding Seadoos, BBQ, watching the news and talking politics.
Eric was independent, self-sufficient, and had an outgoing personality. Eric was often “the life of the party”. He was always reliable when it came to assisting others and taking care of his siblings. Eric gravitated to everyone he met, because he was passionate, funny, and loving in his own way.
On December 17, 2019, Eric Bernard Wells, transitioned from this life and was called home. Those who welcomed him home include: his grandmother, Bernice Levy, great-grandmother Linnie Woodard, Mamie Geneva Rankins, Evan Menchel, and other family members, and friends.
