Fay was born in Anniston, Alabama on July 7, 1931. She was the youngest of 7 children, born to Leonard & Margaret (Maggie) Smith. Fay met her husband, George, at a Gospel meeting in Alabama, near where Fay grew up, and near where George was serving in the Army at Camp Rucker. They were married on June 5th, 1954, and had 69 years together before George passed away in July 2023. Shortly after their marriage, they moved to New Jersey, where they raised their two sons, Gary and Keith. In August 2018, due to declining health, they moved to Las Vegas, Nevada to live with Keith & Linda, who cared for them for the remainder of their lives.
The Gospel came to Fay’s family in 1926 by Fred Kinglake and John Duncan in the town of Blue Mountain, Alabama. In this Gospel mission, Fay’s Grandma Wood, her mother Margaret Smith, her aunt Mattie Knighton, her aunt Ella Wood, her uncle Henry and his wife Marie, all made their choice to serve the Lord. Fay made her own choice to serve the Lord in 1943, as a young girl of 12 years of age, and she lived her whole life loving God and the Gospel story.
Fay passed away on March 11, 2025 at the age of 93. Fay is survived by her two sons, Gary Noble (Donna Francis) and Keith Noble (Linda Reed). She is also survived by nieces, nephews and many friends.
A memorial service for Fay will be held Tuesday, April 22, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Palm Mortuary - Northwest, 6701 North Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89131, followed by a reception from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
