Fortunato Garcia Jr. (Nato) 79, of Las Vegas, NV passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2014. Nato was born May 16, 1934 in El Paso, TX to Fortunato & Asencion Garcia. He grew up in Fontana, CA. He moved to Las Vegas in 1977 and retired from Nevada Power as a foreman electrician in 1996. Mr. Garcia served proudly in the U.S. Air Force for nine years, where he earned his electrical degree. Nato is preceded in death by his daughter, Vivian Olayo. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Virginia; daughters, Regina Collins, Irma Hernandez, Cathy Partida, and Michelle Garcia; sons, Anthony Serna, Joe Serna, and Florentino Garcia; many grandkids and great-grandkids that will miss their “Pappa”, along with his nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Thursday, May 22 from 3-7pm. Funeral Service will be Friday, May 23 at 2pm with committal to follow. All services will be held at Palm Northwest Mortuary and Cemetery located at 6701 N. Jones Blvd.
