Frank Yuro, 70, passed away on September 26, 2014, surrounded by family. He was born on February 2, 1944 to Michael and Mary Yuro in Chicago, Illinois. He spent most of his life in Chicago enjoying the Chicogo Bears, Chicago style pizza, hot dogs and beef sandwiches from Portillo’s. Frank had two older brothers, Robert and Michael. He joined the US Army National Guard in 1965 where he served in Vietnam. When returned home he attended the police academy and was an officer until he retired. Frank has two daughters, Gina and Kim. Frank has spent 18 years with his love Patti Battisto who he met when she worked for Frank’s brother. Frank and Patti moved to Las Vegas in 2005 when his grandson Osker and granddaughter Emma were born. He wanted to be a professional Grandpa! Family reports that he was the BEST “stay at home Mom”. Bottles and diapers surprisingly were his specialty! Frank is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Robert Yuro. Frank leaves behind his fiance’ Patti Battisto, daughters; Gina Yuro and Kim (Ed) Blas, brother; Michael Yuro, grandchildren; Emma, Osker and Chloe. Frank will be missed for his fabulous cooking, yelling at the TV when the Bears play and the weekend swap meets. We love you.
