

Fred Lee Howard was born on November 29, 1958, to Dorothy Pickens and Fred Howard. He moved with his family to Las Vegas when he was 4 years old. Fred was raised by his mother and step-father Robert Childs, who loved him as though he was his own until his death in 1993. He graduated from Eldorado High School in 1976. Fred became the proud father of his son, Robert in 1975, and his daughter, Sharonda in 1980. Although he first met his wife Judy, while attending Jim Bridger Jr. High School, they didn’t get back together until 1985, and have been inseparable since. They married on March 30, 1991, at The Little Chapel of the West. He raised her children Natika Bird and Cynthia Jamerson as his own. Fred enjoyed playing bass guitar and was a member of several bands including the Donald ray Revue, Area 51 and Total Class. He also had a love of the martial arts and loved watching UFC/MMA fights. He loved riding motorcycles and owned many during his lifetime, with his last two being “comfortable” Honda Goldwing and his “need for speed” Suzuki Hayabusa. His second home was 24 Hour Fitness. Fred loved working out at the gym. Fred passed away peacefully at home on July 29, 2015, in the arms of his wife. He leaves to mourn, his wife Judy, sisters, Cynthia Childs, of Crossett, AR, and Demetria Dumas, and brother Pierre , of new York, a very special niece Patricia Childs, a son, Robert, daughters, Sharonda, Natika and Cynthia, grandsons, Robert Kamal, Darian, Braylon and Adrian, granddaughters, Maleah, Kaelin, Dziiur and Crista, all of Las Vegas, NV. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Pickens, father, Fred Howard, stepfather Robert Childs, sister, Sylvia Childs, Brother Frederick and grandchildren Carla and Jonathan Jamerson. He also leaves a mother-in- law, numerous brother and sister in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friend.
