Frederick Homer Bagnall

Frederick Homer (Hampton) Bagnall, 79 of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away at home in his sleep Monday April 20, 2020. He was born on the kitchen table June 6, 1940 (D-Day) in St Clair Shores, Macomb, Michigan to Ruth O. M. (Sweder) Bagnall-Lange and Leroy E. Hampton. He was raised by his mom and beloved stepfather Hans K. Lange. On June 23, 1961 in Clawson, Michigan he married the love of his life and best friend Mary Louise Smith Wardowski. Together they created an incredible legacy through their 4 children, 8 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.

Fred was a Veteran of the Air Force and had a lifelong love of fighter jets. When he joined the Air Force at age 17 he dreamed of flying however, because of a childhood bout of scarlet fever he was left with impaired vision and was unable to fulfill that dream. After being honorably discharged he became a Master Electrician, a trade that made him proud to see his son and grandsons follow in his path. He was a wonderful artist. If he could imagine it he could create it. He had a passion and love of cars, whether it was rebuilding an old 1963 Buick Rivera in his garage or waxing the paint off his current car. A lifelong hockey and Red Wings fan, he was fortunate enough to play with some of the best on their farm team.

Fred is survived by his children, Sherry Bagnall-Theroux, Sheila Bagnall-Lund, Shawn Bagnall & Frederick KL (Carie) Bagnall. Grandchildren; Christopher (Brittany) Bagnall, Briana (Alex Leaf) Theroux, Kevin (Caitlin) Lund, James Bagnall-Toth, Eric (Tiffany) Lund, Mary (Dakota) Smith, Karl & Kyle Bagnall. Great grandchildren; Jesse & Isabelle Hulsey, Karleigh Cody, Alexander Lund, Adam Bagnall, Nathan Bagnall, Noah Smith, Devan Toth & Lucas Bagnall. Brothers; Gene & Bob Hampton. Also his companion and friend, his puppy Lucy. He was proceeded in death by his parents, loving wife Mary and three siblings; Leroy Hampton, Joy (Bagnall) Moglovkin and Edward Bagnall.

He will be missed not only by his family but also many people he met throughout his long adventurous life.
