

He married Loretta in Utah where they met as he served in The United States Air Force as an airplane mechanic. He served in the Air Force at Hill Air Force Base in Ogden, Utah. During his service he was awarded the Air Force Good Conduct Medal and the Air Force Outstanding Unit Award.
Gary was a kind and devoted father and husband. He loved his family and devoted his time to care for disabled son.
Gary was creative and loved to draw, paint and do wood work. He kept busy by creating, lawn ornaments for the holidays, snowmen, gingerbread houses and other fun designs. He enjoyed carving detailed pumpkins for Halloween. During spring he would dye the most beautiful Easter eggs, and had fun hiding them for his grandchildren to find.
Gary was somewhat of a computer geek, he loved anything to do with computers. He made many videos of his grandchildren and picture collages.
He loved the beauty of all types of flowers and loved being outside.
He liked to grill and enjoyed creating sweet things to eat like ice cream sundaes and banana splits.
He worked on the Las Vegas strip for 33 years as a bartender at the Barbary Coast, serving drinks, champagne and telling jokes to his customers.
Gary was very grateful for life and his family. He was a loving father and grandfather.
Gary is survived by Loretta, his wife; three children: Elisha, Anjenette, and Joel, two grandchildren Reagan and Tabitha, and is son in law Richard. He is preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Blanche, and his sister Shirley.
A service will be held on Thursday June 11, 2020. Visitation will be held that same day from 11-1:00 PM for family members and friends, and neighbors at the Palm Mortuary, 6701 North Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV.
