He also made a valuable contribution to his community with his many years of service as part of the Rockville Centre Volunteer Reliance Fire Department from 1957- 1991. As an entrepreneur he created two thriving trophy businesses in both New York and Las Vegas.
In his retirement, George found time to continually contribute to his community by volunteering his time with The Trauma Intervention Program of Las Vegas, bringing comfort and aid to many grieving families. And as a devoted parishioner, he was instrumental in the planning and development of Grace in the Desert Church and Parish Hall buildings.
An avid hunter and sportsman, George was a member of
The Spring Mountain Free Trappers Black Powder Gun Club and enjoyed perfecting and sharing his skills as a marksman.
He especially enjoyed spending time with family, sharing laughter and fun on family vacations, going to the mountains, hunting with his son and sharing good times with his retired fireman friends.
The family has decided to have a private celebration of life at a later date.
May he rest in peace.
