George Chandler Hoover Jr., 87, of Las Vegas, passed away Aug. 19, 2012. He was born Aug. 21, 1924, in Madison, Wisc., and was a 55-year resident of Nevada. George served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a security officer at the Test Site. He is survived by his dear friend, Miriam Willer; and her daughter, Mona. George will also be greatly missed by Harold Collins, Colleen Warner, and Jim and Janet Collins. Services will be private.
