

Deacon George Benjamin Kline Sr, of Las Vegas was called from labor to rest May 7, 2014. He was born April 26, 1925 to the late Reverend Harrison and Mrs. Lillie Mae (Martin) Kline of Tallulah Louisiana.
Early in his youth he accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and savior of his life that relationship continued and grew. He later married a beautiful Godly woman Ms. Minnie Lee Cannon and they began a picturesque walk in life with Christ. George served in the United States Arms Forces. To this union was born 10 children four in Tallulah Louisiana and six in Las Vegas Nevada. While in Tallulah Louisiana they started two businesses, a dry cleaner and grocery store. George later moved his family to Las Vegas where they later united with Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev Earl C Kline. They started Kline’s Concrete, Kline Builders, and Kline’s Rentals. Mr. Kline was the first black American to be appointed to the State of Nevada Contractors Board. Union member of local 797, later in life Deacon Kline was a now a proud member of the Victory Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. Robert E Fowler Sr. there he became a Christian counselor and a mentor to many.
He was preceded in death by his parents Reverend Harrison and Mrs. Lillie Mae ( Martin) Kline; wife Mrs. Minnie Lee (Cannon) Kline, son Gary Theodore Kline, brother Reverend Earl C. Kline, sister Mrs. Lunita ( Kline) Bonner.
He is survived by Six sons Harrison Kline III (Brenda) of Portland Ore, George B. Kline of Las Vegas, Joseph C. Kline( Cheree) of Salem Ore, Albert L. Kline, Gabriel Kline ( Evelyn) Ronald K Kline ( Ana) all of Las Vegas. Two daughters Shirley L. (Kline) Cannon ( Louis) of California, Janice L Kline of Reno Nevada., Brother in laws Raymond Cannon, Michael L Cannon ,sister in laws Estella Kline , Ester May, thirteen grand children, ten great grand children a host of nieces, nephews cousins and friends.
George Kline will be missed greatly but we all know that we will all be united one day when we see Jesus the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
Services will be held at Victory Missionary Baptist Church, 500 W Adams Las Vegas, Nev 89106 May 15, 2014 at 10:00 am Viewing will be at Palm Mortuary 1325 North Main Las Vegas Nev 89101 May 14, 2014 at 4 pm. Until 7 pm
