GEORGENE BRATTON Georgene "Gene" Morrow Bratton, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, of Las Vegas, passed away peacefully Thursday, Feb. 11, 2016, at Valley Hospital, surrounded by loved ones. Gene was born Aug. 25, 1943, in Elmhurst, Ill., to Vivian and George Morrow. She met Richard "Dick" Bratton while working at the Nevada Test Site, and the two married April 20, 1969, in Las Vegas. Gene worked as a nurse at Sunrise and Desert Springs Hospitals. She is survived by her husband, Richard Bratton; sons, Richard M. Bratton of Norwalk, Conn., and Vincent Bratton; daughters-in-law, Rachel Derken-Bratton and Calvert Collins-Bratton; grandsons, Nick Bratton, Jake Bratton, Joe Bratton and Ethan Bratton; granddaughter, Vivienne Bratton; and brother, James Robert Morrow; Bratton of Dallas. Memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 10, at Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89146. Arrangements under the direction of Palm South Jones Mortuary, Las Vegas, NV.
