

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gloria Mancilla, a remarkable woman who graced the world with her presence from December 7, 1926, until January 29, 2025. Gloria passed peacefully. Her spirit, talent, and enduring legacy continue to inspire and touch the hearts of those who knew her.
Gloria was born in New York City to Mack Griss a Professional Vaudeville performer and Martha Griss (Calhoun) of The Ziegfield Follies Professional dance cast
Glorias Relatives who have passed were Feldman Griss, Al & Sadie Lerner (Uncle & Aunt)
Preceded in death are Father Max Griss, Mother Martha Calhoun Griss

Gloria was a woman whose personality was the embodiment of love, elegance, generosity, and grace. Her sparkling intellect and contagious sense of fun were felt by everyone around her. She was a beacon of light that touched countless lives and transformed the ordinary into the extraordinary.
Throughout her life, Gloria stood as an exemplary figure of bravery and courage. She believed in using common sense in every situation, a lesson she fervently shared with her loved ones. Her wisdom and perceptiveness were some of her most admired traits, making her a well-respected figure in her personal and professional circles.
Her accomplishments were many and varied, a testament to her talent and industrious spirit. Gloria was inducted into the Vegas Showbusiness Hall of Fame Jan 29, 2017, a just recognition of her tremendous contributions to the field. Alongside her successful showbiz career, Gloria also ran prosperous businesses in her past and thrived as a dedicated mother. Her life epitomized the balance between personal and professional fulfillment, a balance she maintained with admirable grace and poise.
Gloria was contracted as a professional dancer @ such major Hotels such as The Tropicana, The Thunderbird Hotel, El Rancho, The El Cortez, The New Frontier, The Dunes, The Stardust Hotel and had true incredible stories to share of what the Earlier Vegas days were like knowing for example ; the Rat Pack, Pearl Bailey, Keely Smith, Judy Garland ,Jerry Lewis, Bernie Sindler, Meyer Lansky, Bugsy, (Bernie Sindler -Her one time brother in law who was married to Joan her sister )
Her legacy is one of larger-than-life persona and wisdom that will continue to inspire future generations. Her timeless elegance, warm grace, and unforgettable charm will forever be remembered by her loved ones. Gloria's remarkable life story continues through her daughters, Adrianne Lagan, Constanza Mancilla de Areizaga Son in Law in law Guillermo Areizaga Orozco, Son Barry Lagan
