Helen Marie Barton

Helen M Barton (Owens), 75, of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away peacefully on December 13, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. Born on August 1, 1950 to the late Ed and Naomi Owens in Manchester, Kentucky. Helen was full of love, strength and unwavering support.

A proud graduate of Clay County High School and Xavier University. Helen was a retired school teacher from Franklin City Schools in Franklin, Ohio. She had also retired as a real estate agent in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Helen loved her family unconditionally and spent as much time with them as possible and had a second home in Kentucky to be close to her roots. She looked forward to her annual summer Florida trip, where she vacationed for the past 30+ years with other teachers and a host of friends that she cherished. Her Friday nights were spent with her granddaughter Luciana. When asked, Luciana would say her favorite thing about her grammy, was spending the night, going shopping, and eating at BJ’s.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Crouch and granddaughter, Phoebe Diaz Barton.

She is survived by her daughter, Laura Ellen Barton; granddaughter Luciana Diaz Barton; sisters, Betty and Ruth both from Kentucky; nieces (Rebecca, Leigh Ann, Richelle); nephew (Ritchie); great nieces (Lilly, Emma, Elly, Kenzie); great nephews (Keaton, Tucker); and a community of friends and loved ones who will forever miss her singing, laughter and generous spirit.
