Hollis Demetrius Wilson Jr.

On Tuesday, January 8, 2019 God in his infinite wisdom and mercy, sent forth an angel who gently slipped his hand into the hand of Hollis D. Wilson Jr. to lovingly guide him to whom loved him the most.

Hollis Demetrius Wilson Jr., was born October 20, 1956 in Las Vegas, Nevada to the union of Hollis Wilson Sr. and Ruby L Wilson, both preceding him in death. However, he was raised by his loving stepmother Phyllis Patterson-Wilson, who’s also sleeping in heaven.

Hollis and Lomax Wilson were united in Holy Matrimony in October 1986. They would have celebrated 40 years together next month.

Hollis graduated from Rancho High School, where he excelled in football with many honors and trophies. After high school he entered into the U.S. Army touring in Germany. He graduated from Apollo business and technical school in the late 70’s. Hollis studied at Riverside Community College earning a degree in basic law enforcement. He became a member of From The Heart Church Ministries of Las Vegas, Nevada under the leadership of Pastor Darryl A. McDuel.

He leaves to cherish his memory a loving wife, Lomax Wilson, a sister Linda Wilson, sister-in-laws: Eartha Mayo, Delios McPike, Dorothy Crew, Felicitas Crew and Jessica Anderson. Brother- in-laws: Anthony McPike and Sylvester Crew. His children, LaToya (Rory) Tatum, Luwon Coleman, and Maurice Cooper. His niece, Ivory Blake and grandchildren Rory Jr, John Jr., Javarus, Kashanni, Shania, R’Riana, Veronica, Artis, ZaKora, and Misean. A great niece, Amari Jackson along with a host of cousins, loved ones, and friends.
