
Irene P. Fogler, 95, a 25 year resident of Las Vegas, passed away September 22, 2011. Born in Buffalo NY, June 20, 1916, she was an avid swimmer, played basketball for Smith Corona Women’s Team, and sports as a WAC in the US Army during WW II.
She and her late husband of 55 years, Ronald Dale Fogler, worked together in the country club golf business in Junction City and Manhattan, Kansas and Las Vegas, Nevada where she was known for her generous, loving, gentle nature and easy smile. She was preceded in death by her son Robert Joseph (Joey) Fogler of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
She is survived by her sister, Dale Birdseye of Lady Lake, Florida, daughter in-law Cynthia Fogler, Rala Missouri, son Ronald Dale (Butch) Fogler and daughter in-law RaChelle, grandchildren Thomas, Jonathan, and Ryan and great grandson Reece of Las Vegas. Also from Las Vegas daughter Veronica Dale Fogler, grandchildren Lisa, Adanya, Indira of San Diego, California, Sam of Chicago, Il and Eliana of Capetown, South Africa, great grandchildren, Brandel, Victoria, Elizabeth, Jaxson and Madden.
Mass will be Friday, September 30, 1:00 PM at St. Joseph Husband of Mary Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Nathan Adelson Hospice (702) 733-0320.
