Jack Bauer passed away after a long illness on November 10, 2013. Born September 1, 1942 in the former country of Yugoslavia, he moved to the United States with his family in 1956. They settled in Maywood, California, a suburb of Los Angeles. Upon graduation from Lutheran High School in Los Angeles, Jack attended East Los Angeles Community College, and began a long career with what was then known as Allis-Chalmers. He was drafted to serve in the Army during the Vietnam War, and served in the Army from 1965-1967. Upon his return from the War, he resumed his career with Allis-Chalmers. In October 1971, he married Dewanna (Dee) Davis, whom he had known since moving to the US in 1956. Jack worked his way through the ranks of the Allis-Chalmers, from the Parts Department to become a Regional Accounting Manager. He and his family moved several times as part of his career, living in Utah, California, Texas, Ohio, Missouri, and finally Georgia. By the time the family moved to Georgia in 1994, Allis-Chalmers had gone through several mergers, and was (and still is) known as Agco Corporation. Jack retired from his position as Regional Accounting Manager in September 2007. Upon Dee’s retirement in March 2009, Jack and Dewanna moved to Las Vegas, Nevada. He is survived by his wife, Dewanna (Dee) of Las Vegas, NV; son, Joe of Portland, OR; daughter, Cindy, son-in-law Jesse, and granddaughters Autumn and Violet, of Hartford, CT; and his sister Aurelia Ewing, of Carson City, NV.
Arrangements under the direction of Palm Northwest Mortuary, Las Vegas, NV.
