James Edward MacLean

James Edward MacLean Sr., a beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2025, at the age of 79. He was born on July 15, 1946 in Detroit, MI where he built a life filled with love, compassion and cherished memories.

James was a devoted family man, deeply committed to his wife of 59 years, Darlene, their three children, Dianna, James Jr and Jennifer, and their two grandsons, Liam and Brandon. He was a pillar of strength and a constant source of support, guiding his family with wisdom, patience and unwavering love.

Professionally, James retired from Ford Motor Company after working there for 20 years. He had many stories from working at Ford and enjoyed sharing them with others. They always brought a smile to his face.

A proud Army Veteran, James loved his country and felt honored to have served. He enjoyed striking up conversations with other Veterans, often sharing stories of their time abroad. It was a brotherhood that he embraced dearly.

James will be remembered for his warm smile, gentle demeanor, and compassionate heart. He touched the lives of all who knew him, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness and perseverance. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
