Master Gunnery Sergeant James Louis Sacca, USMC, Ret., age 84, passed away June 16, 2015. He was born in Omaha, Nebraska on January 26, 1931 and was a resident of Las Vegas since 1979. During his 24 years as a Marine, he was a musician, composer and director with the Marine Band in various duty stations throughout the world. As a combat Marine in Korea and Vietnam, he served honorably to his family, The Corps, his country and God. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Concetta. He is survived by his children, James Jr. (Alisa), Victoria Singler, Cheryl (Mike) Vegas, Laura (Donald) Ahlskog and Richard (Doris); numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and his siblings, Al Sacco, Nancy Krause and Rosario Sacca. Interment services will take place on Tuesday, June 30 at 11:20AM at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Dr., Boulder City, NV 89005.
