Jim was born on January 14th in Chicago, IL into the loving family of Aloys and Ann Stricker.
He was the youngest of three sons and always said he had the best big brothers.

He served honorably with the Army's 199th Light Infantry Brigade "Redcatchers" in VietNam until 1971. During those years he and his former wife, Carol Stricker, welcomed two sons Eric and Ryan, into their family.
In 1997 Jim and Debra met and their love story began. In 1998 tiey relocated to Las Vegas where Jim decided to work part time as a Cab Driver on the Las Vegas Strip. He enjoyed interacting with his customers and especially the camaraderie of his fellow "Cabbies". In 2014 Jim retired from the Cab Company. With the luxury of retirement he was able to concentrate on his varied interests : Golf, Baseball, Business & Political happenings. Jim was very proud of his two sons and their accomplishments and successes. After the untimely passing of his eldest son, Eric, Jim found great joy in long talks with his younger son, Ryan, catching up on Ryan's world.
