Janet Mabelle Farley

Janet Mabelle was born in 1930 to Wayne E. and Mabelle Anna Farley (Frahm) in Preston, Jackson County, Iowa. Janet loved spending time with her nine siblings Mae Marie, Keith Jerold, Norma Joann, Donald Wayne, Loleta Jerrine, Evelyn Florence, Roberta Jane, Leland Dale, and Kathleen Delores.

Janet graduated from Preston High School in 1948, which had a classroom of 19 students. She was baptized June 8, 1941 in Preston Congregational Church. Janet married Robert Lewis Steiner in 1950 at the Presbyterian Church, Preston, Iowa And together they had 2 children, Barbara Ann Steiner (Quinn) & Patricia Jean Steiner (Darnell).

She and her family moved to Las Vegas in 1964, where Janet resided for 62 years.

She Loved and Adored her 3 grandchildren, David Charles Darnell, Jennifer Nicole Darnell, Brent Christopher Darnell. Grandma Janet cherished her 7 great- grandchildren Morgan Rylie, Samantha Brook, Brooklyn Taylor, Tayla Reese, Conner David, AJ Kingston, Harper Kennedy.

She enjoyed going on the northbound train to visit family and loved to travel. She had great memories & good times fishing, gardening, reading, playing scrabble and winning at bingo.

She was passionate at ballroom dancing in which she was graceful and beautiful at.

She really enjoyed life.

With the Lord's Grace, Janet Mabelle Farley lives forever.

A visitation will be held on January 29, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Palm Mortuary - Northwest, located at 6701 North Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89131.

A funeral service will follow at the same venue from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.

The committal service will take place at Palm Northwest Cemetery, also at 6701 North Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89131, from 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm on January 29, 2026.
