Janis P Adolphs

17 juillet 1951 – 8 novembre 2024
Avis de décès de Janis P Adolphs
AUX SOINS DE

Palm Cheyenne Mortuary

Janis Adolphs (Pizzo) was lifted to heaven on Friday, November 8, 2024, joining her husband Terry John Adolphs, preceded in death by her mother and father, John, and Gloria Pizzo.

Janis has left behind two sons Martin Adolphs (Karyn) and Scott (Marcy), a sister Cheryl Ragona (Pizzo), Lombard, Illinois along with niece Jill Tab (Robert), other nieces, nephews, grandchildren, her best friends Barbara and John Nepil, and her close neighbors and her beloved dog daisy. Also leaving behind and proceeded in death her sister-in-law Karen and David Baker (Adolphs).

Janis was born on July 17, 1951, in Chicago, Illinois, graduated from high school and attended pharmaceutical school.

Late in life Janis and Terry married in Waikoloa, Hawaii in 1993 at the Hyatt Regency where they enjoyed traveling and touring the Hawaiian Islands, enjoying time together. They returned to Illinois where they resided for some time. Janis cared for her mother and after her passing in 1999, Janis and Terry relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada. With Terry being retired, Janis continued to work full time remotely. She had a rewarding career working for Duracell Battery Company traveling the United States and attending many work conferences on tropical islands throughout the Caribbean. Janis later shifted her career to work for ELITeXPO, a tradeshow company based in Illinois where she had many professional relationships with large corporations and made lifelong friends, where she considered many of her co-workers’ family. Janis retired from her role at ELITeXPO several years ago and mentioned many times how she loved her time working for them.

Janis enjoyed her retirement, never missing a day taking her beloved dog Daisy for her morning walk, rain or shine, she enjoyed her cup of coffee every morning reading the morning paper, on her back patio and watching Daisy in the yard chasing leaves, she loved the hummingbirds in her yard which reminded her of her mom. She loved reading mystery novels, watching the daily news, HGTV, weekly football games and other sports on TV. She would take Daisy on car rides to do errands, she enjoyed talking with friends on the phone and occasionally enjoying breakfast with her caring neighbors.

Janis was a strong independent caring soul, and she will be truly missed by those that she touched in life.
