Jason was born on June 30, 1978 at Geneva General Hospital in Geneva, New York. He was the son of Mary Aravantinou (Sotiris Aravantinos) and Paul Qualtieri (Debbie Qualtieri). Jason grew up in Waterloo, New York, Jonesboro, Arkansas and Fort Mill, South Carolina. Jason was raised with one brother and one step-sister; his brother Josh and step-sister, Jennifer. Jason was usually involved in all sorts of activities with his siblings. He and his siblings experienced rivalries typical of a growing family, but they shared many life experiences over the years. As a young boy, Jason had a number of interests. Like most children, he enjoyed playing and making up games. He was curious about the world around him and was often eager to explore it. Jason was an active child who took part in basketball, baseball and football. He was also a Boy Scout. In his spare time he enjoyed bike riding, fishing and baseball cards. However, to Jason, the most fun to be had was simply playing and spending time with his friends. A typical teenager, Jason had a fairly happy high school experience, making that critical transition from adolescence to adulthood. He graduated from Fort Mill High School in South Carolina in 1996. He enjoyed some classes more than others, having favorite subjects and teachers. His favorite class in high school was Math. He was known as an excellent student. Jason enjoyed his college years, which may have been a challenge with all of the academics, responsibilities, and the sudden freedom that accompanied them, but Jason was able to manage the balancing act. He attended Arkansas State University. His favorite course was Law and he maintaned a 4.0 average. Jason worked hard to be a good father to his child and he did his best to fulfill her needs. Jason was blessed with one little girl, Sophia Qualtieri. Jason passed away on August 16, 2012 at Las Vegas, Nevada. He is survived by his daughter, Sophia, his parents, Mary and Paul, his step-parents, Sotiris and Debbie, brother, Josh and step-sister, Jennifer.
