

Jazmin was born in Bacon, Sorsogon, Philippines to Teodoro Eco and Virginia Vargas on September 2, 1944. She graduated from Sorsogon Provincial High School, then completed a Bachelors of Science in Nursing at the University of the Philippines-Philippine General Hospital. She was blessed to be able to work for 40 years as a school nurse, at VA hospitals in New Jersey and California, and in the field of Oncology for Franciscan Health Systems at St. Joseph in Tacoma, WA, USA.
Jazmin married Dr. Manuel F. Bautista on December 15, 1968 in Aberdeen, MD. Though they moved to many different cities over the next 56 years, - Flushing NY, Cedar Grove NJ, Pensacola FL, Agana Guam, Concord CA, Springfield IL, Lakewood WA, and finally to North Las Vegas NV - their home was with each other. Jazmin and Manuel spent many happy retirement years traveling the globe, including Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Finland, Spain, Germany, and Sweden.
Jazmin will be remembered most for the unwavering enthusiasm displayed in her smile, and the selfless care of her family. She was guided by her Catholic faith, enjoyed gardening and music, and dabbled in ceramics, making mementos for her grandchildren.
Jazmin is preceded in death by her parents and Vargas Eco siblings: Vida, Ricardo, Manuel, and Portia.
Jazmin is survived by her husband, Manuel, son Giancarlo and wife Cynthia, son Robin and wife Molly, siblings Jose, Oro, Mabel, and Roy; and grandchildren Gabriella, Giancarlo, Sophie, Mateo, and Lucian.
Memorial services will be held at Palm Northwest Mortuary and Cemetery on Thursday, May 15 2025 at 2:00pm
