Jean “Jeanie” Parker (née Peak), 92, passed away peacefully at home on February 13, 2026, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Born November 16, 1933, in Montgomery, Alabama, Jeanie brought warmth and wit into the world from the very beginning.
Her journey led her west to Galveston, Texas, where she met the love of her life, Jerry Parker, at Ball High School. In the 1950s, they moved to Las Vegas, where she built both a remarkable career and a loving family. Jeanie began at the iconic Sahara Hotel before joining the accounting department at the International Hotel (later renamed the Hilton). There, she handled payroll for legendary entertainers including Elvis Presley and Redd Foxx, and served as Alex Shoofey’s trusted right-hand.
Her precision and professionalism were matched only by her sharp sense of humor and quick intellect — qualities that made her deeply respected and genuinely beloved.
Jeanie is survived by her devoted daughter, Tobi Crede; her loving son-in-law, Keith Crede; her cherished granddaughter, Kaelyn Crede; and her daughter-in-law, Karen Parker. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Gerald “Jerry” Parker, and her son, Robert “Bob” Parker. Her family was her greatest pride, and their memories remained close to her heart throughout her life.
Beyond her career and devotion to family, Jeanie embraced life with energy and enthusiasm. In her younger years, she was an avid snow skier and water skier, and spent many days on the golf course. She was funny, kind-hearted, well-read, and a steady presence who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A visitation will be held at Palm Mortuary - Downtown, located at 1325 North Main St, Las Vegas, NV 89101, on February 20, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.
