

She was married for 43 years to Charles M. McDermitt until his death in 1990.
She is predeceased by her parents, her brother, George M. Everett, Jr., her sister Mary, a niece, Susanne Sansevere and a nephew, George M. Everett, III.
Jeanne is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Mary C. and Leonard T. Marciano of North Las Vegas, as well as nieces Margaret A. (John) Mastropietro, Regina A. (Gerard) McGraw and a nephew, Rev. Stephen A. Sansevere, all of New Jersey.
She is also survived by her extended family which includes Marilyn (Thomas) Carney, Karen (Ed) Schultz, Ralph (Liza) Marciano, Eddie Schultz, Kara Schultz, Rob Hartshorn and Ashley Hartshorn.
During her life Jeanne Marie lived in various locations including the Vailsburg section of Newark, NJ before moving to Westfield, NJ, Hillsborough, NJ and finally North Las Vegas, NV.
After graduating from West Side High School in Newark, NJ, her first work experiences were as a secretary for Sacred Heart Church in Vailsburg, NJ, Prudential Insurance and Dictaphone. Jeanne eventually secured the position of Executive Secretary to the Treasurer of Edwards and Kelcey Inc. (now Jacobs Engineering Group Inc.) and eventually retiring from the company after 31 years in 1992.
Jeanne was active in her community. She was member of the Rosary Altar Societies of Sacred Heart Church in Vailsburg, NJ, St Agnes Church in Clark, NJ and Mary Mother of God Church in Hillsborough, NJ. She also was one of the first members of the newly formed Hillsborough, NJ Seniors Group B and served as one of its officers. On her move to Nevada, she was a member and volunteer for the Senior Tripsters, Inc. of Las Vegas.
Jeanne enjoyed many things in life including travel with her family, especially to Cape Cod and with the Hillsborough Seniors and Senior Tripsters, Inc. In addition she loved walking, reading, keeping current with events on the computer, playing games on line and gardening (even pulling weeds at home!).
She was well known to her family and friends for sending cards for all occasions. Her sports interests included rooting for the Mets, NY Giants, and even Tom Brady.
Jeanne Marie lived with her daughter and son-in-law in North Las Vegas. Both were at Mom's bedside when she died.
Mom will be forever in our hearts.
