

Dorothy Jean "Jeannie" Hall, 65, of Las Vegas, passed away Dec. 10, 2011. She was born July 17, 1946, in San Francisco, and was a 58-year resident of Nevada. Jeannie moved to Las Vegas as a child and attended St. Joseph's Grade School, John C. Fremont Jr. High School and graduated from Las Vegas High School. She was a waitress and a bartender, working at the MGM and Hilton. She then embarked on her career in gaming and was a dealer and floor supervisor at Sam's Town, California Hotel, Imperial Palace, and Stardust Hotel, until it closed in 2006. She then transferred to the floor of the Gold Coast, where she worked until her passing. She was a loving, caring mother and grandmother who loved her family, her job and her customers. She left us much too early and will be dearly missed. Jennie was preceded in death by her father, Leo Jay Holt; mother, Renetta Tillman; and stepfather, Ed Tillman. Jeannie is survived by her son, Richard T. Hall and his wife, Dawn M. Hall; and grandchildren, Tony, Maya and Estella. Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 18. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 19, both at Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Graveside services will follow.
