Jeffrey Wade Patterson

He was born in Sanford, FL on July 3, 1960 to Donald and Dorthy Patterson. He moved to San Diego, CA in 1964 where he graduated from Samuel F. B. Morse High School in 1978 and joined the Air Force in 1981. He retired from the Air Force after 20 years and served another 22 years as a Department of Defense contractor.

Jeffrey met the love of his life, Carol Quintanilla Patterson, in 1977 while attending Morse High School where he was Carol’s squad leader in JROTC. They dated for three years and enjoyed bowling, attending music concerts, and school activities. Excited to start their new lives together, the two were married in National City, CA on May 23, 1981.

Jeffrey and Carol couldn’t wait to start a family of their own. After moving to Germany in 1981, they welcomed their first child, Carina, in 1984. Upon returning to the United States, they completed their family by welcoming their second daughter, Jennica, in 1990.

Jeffrey will always be remembered for his larger than life personality, his goofball sense of humor and the way he could make friends with anyone he met. We couldn’t have asked for a better husband, father, grandfather (Papa), son, brother, and friend, and we will miss him every day. His memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved him.

Jeffrey was preceded in death by his father, Donald Patterson, and his granddaughter, Chloe Tornero. He is survived by his wife, Carol Patterson, his daughters, Carina Tornero (h. Michael Tornero) and Jennica Bohn (h. Eric Bohn), his grandchildren, Mila Tornero, Elle Tornero, and Elijah Bohn, his mother, Dorthy Patterson, and his siblings, Robert Patterson, Donna Moss, and Debra Hall.

His Celebration of Life service is on Saturday, April 20, 2024, 1000 hrs and will be held at First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), 101 S. Rancho Drive, Las Vegas NV 89106. His Military Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, 0800 hrs at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City NV 89005.
